John G. Carlson
John is Managing Partner of System Change and Chairman of St. Paul, Minnesota-based Reflection Sciences, www.reflectionsciences.com John has over 30 years of experience in leadership, operations, financial management, process improvement and change management, as both a corporate executive and in consultative capacities. He has been CEO, President or COO – 4 times, CFO – three times and Global financial / operational VP with a Fortune 500 firm. John was a contributor to successful exits at Tessera Technologies (IPO in 2003) and NeoNova Network Services (M & A in 2013).
Through multiple corporate turnarounds and operational improvement experiences, John generalized what he learned and applied for system-wide analysis of corporate assets and performance improvement opportunities. Whether for an up-front Assessment, or to develop an Action Plan for Operational Improvement, or a new Operating Plan for the business, the same process improvement and change management methods are employed. A key point of differentiation involves a start-to-finish process supporting Leadership Effectiveness, Implementation and Execution to achieve targeted results.
John has a BA in Political Sciences from Bucknell University and an MBA Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has been published in business journals on system-wide process improvement and modeling. Earlier he applied his healthcare experience to co-author a Wiley-published book outlining innovative models for controlling and reducing healthcare costs, backed by risk-based prevention programs and outcome measurement.
Paul H. Floyd –
Paul is a Principal at System Change, having 30 years of experience in technology, operations and financial management with large, medium and small firms. Employing his engineering background, Paul provides a high level of expertise in product development and technology application covering R & D, IT and Systems to develop growth strategies and to scale profitable businesses or to enable M & A integration.
Paul’s management career began at AT&T where was VP of R & D and IT for their global broadband communications products group. Then through progressive career development at IBasis as CTO / CIO, then COO, he was part of a start-up team that built a global VoIP internet provider to $1.2 billion in revenues to achieve a successful M & A exit. Recently, Paul has contributed to start-ups and early stage technology firms in operational and financial leadership roles and consultative capacities.
Paul has both a Bachelors and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
Charles A. McCleary –
Charlie is a Principal at System Change, having over 30 years of experience in legal, tax accounting and consulting services. He specializes in legal and administrative matters, recently serving as general counsel, corporate secretary and director of human resources for private and public companies.
Serving in a variety of roles in the financial services industries, Charlie acted as Senior VP Operations for the New York office of Linedata Services and as an independent advisor to well-known industry consultancies, after a successful career as Senior Manager – Tax for PWC (formerly Price Waterhouse).
Charlie has a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and is a member of the Connecticut Bar. He also has an M.B.A. from the Desautels Faculty of Management of McGill University and a B.A. from Tufts University. He is a former Certified Public Accountant.
